Manual System with Ethylene Sensors



Ripening can be done using gas cylinder or cans in cold room. We offer Ethylene Gas analyzers which can be taken inside the room to verify the concentration if ethylene when the gas is dosed inside the room. After the dosing is done, using the analyzer the value of ethylene is measured. By doing this the gas consumption is reduced. Since you are measuring ethylene the system is 100% dependable and is reliable. The gas cylinder comes with a special gas releasing apparatus which indicates the user the amount of gas required for ripening as a standard which make the system redundant. The gas dosed is enough to trigger the ripening process. This is completely fool proof method and since the ethylene gas is getting released in the chamber and is also measured the ripening process will start provided the room is not opened for 16 hours.

The Procedure:
Precool the banana to 18 to 20 degrees
See the reading in the gas releasing apparatus. And start dosing the room with gas.
Switch on the gas analyzer and let the reading come to zero in air.
Open the door and observe the reading in the analyzer if the reading is below 100 ppm dose again and if it s more than 100 close the door and come out of the chamber.
